Supply of Alum Grade-IV required for water purification conforming to IS 299/2012 with latest amendments shall essentially be Aluminum Sulphate Octadecahydrate AL2 SO43 18 H2O. The article of commerce usually contains 5 to 10 percent less water than theoretical amount. It shall be in the form of slab. The color of the material shall be Cream to Brown. The material when tested according to the methods prescribed in Annexure-A of IS 299/2012 shall confirm to the requirement in Table No.I
