Supply of ALUM Grade4 required for water purification conforming to IS 299 2012 with latest amendments shall essentially be Aluminum Sulphate Octadecahydrate AL2 SO4 3 18 H2O. The article of commerce usually contains 5 to 10percent less water than theoretical amount. It shall be in the form of slab. The colour of the material shall be Cream to Brown. The material when tested according to the methods prescribed in Annexure A of IS 299/2012 shall confirm to the requirement in Table No. I.
